The International Inline Downhill Association, IIDA, is an organisation originally set up in order to assist with the growth and regulation of the sport of inline downhill racing.
Inline downhill started in Switzerland in the early 1990’s with the first event held in Lausanne in 1994.Jerome Perakis launched the European Cup & the World Cup pro Tour in the following years. He then got in touch with FIRS, Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports to create the first Inline Downhill World Championship which was held in Zell am See (Austria) in 1999.
