2014 Roller Speed-Skating World Championships in New-Zealand?


Bill Begg revealed us that New-Zealand and the city of Timaru could host the 2014 Inline Speed-Skating World championships. On the 11th October 2012, Sabitino Aracu, president of the Federation International of Roller Sports (FIRS) will be in the City of Timaru (New-Zealand) to evaluate the possibilities for local skaters to organize such an event...

Despite an important lack of structure, New Zealand revealed several renowned world champions such as Dobbin brothers, Scott Arlidge, Nicole Begg and more recently Peter Michael. The Kiwis also finished 7th in the medal ranking at the 2012 inline speed-skating World Championships in Italy.
