Margaret Brooks takes the lead of the World Figure Skating Committee

Margaret Brook has been named president of the International Figure Skating Committee during the assembly of the CIPA in New-Zealand, on the occasion of the 2012 Figure skating World Championships.

Margaret Brooks was already President of the European Figure Skating Committee. Former high-level skater, she joined the International Committee in 1976.
Then, she became president of the European Figure Skating Committee. With this appointment to the highest level of a European personality, let's hope that the voice of Europe will be heard at the highest level of the sport, especially at the IOC!
