Season closing race after CMRF final on October 13, 2013
It is end of March and the new skating season is close at hand. Nonetheless, early birds already think of the season closing as well. And when the French Coupe de France Marathon Roller will be over the skate calendar's highlight, the K2 Cologne Skate Marathon on October 13, 2013, will take place.
Germany's second biggest skate marathon not far from the French border has developped to a real mecca for French skaters over the last years! Besides the internationally active pro teams and skaters like EO Skates, RPM Poli, Justine Halbout, Yann Guyader, Ewen Fernandez etc. also more and more French fitness and recreational skaters celebrate their season closing in downtown Cologne.
Approximately 1,800 inline skaters from all over the world gather with 20,000 runners and enjoy the car-less streets. For 2013 the course was further modified and will lead through 4 more vibrant city quarters with thousands of spectators along the course. And the finish area was finally relocated to the city's landmark, Cologne Cathedral. This will become a very emotional moment for all finishers!
The Easter holidays are important days in Catholic Cologne. We go on with this tradition and therefore Easter Sunday will be relevant for all those who did not register yet. Subscribe in March and save money for the participation on October 13, 2013! The current starting fee of EUR 50.00 per person will increase to EUR 55.00 per person. A group registration of at least 10 persons prior to Easter Sunday will further reduce the starting fee to EUR 45.00 per person.
