The 2014 FIRS Downhill World Championships took place in Lausanne on August 31st during the International Roller Contest in Lausanne, Switzerland.
German Moritz Nörl won the title, less than two tenths in front of Austrian 2013 World Champion Daniel Ladurner, and 1.3 sec in front of French Harry Perna, also a multiple downhill world champion.
In the Women's category, French Séverine Christ Thomas finished first, one week only after her comeback to competition in China, in front of compatriot Marjorie Phlippoteau and German Annalenna Rettenberger.
